Dr. York: Autobiographically

PREFACE: Never vainglorious, Dr. Malachi Z. York at times makes exemplary, self-clarifying statements, while at others, he is pumped into rebutting ones. Both are what are found in this autobiographical profile of our sage.

WHAT’S NOT HERE: Statements made by good angels that, when necessary, guide and control him, e.g., “I come from a star fleet of people that are scientists and astrologers.” – Holy Tablets. Ch. 19, 6:21.

Uneasiness

I fear for our people because they never get in-depth knowledge of the religions that they get involved in, making it very easy to mislead them with fanaticism. By that I mean, the Muslims in America, that is, Nubian converts, 99% do not and cannot read, write, and speak classical Arabic (Fusha) of the Qur’aan, so they are always depending on some foreign source to interpret and explain their religion to them. And religion is a very sensitive issue because it deals with your soul and whether or not you will enter paradise or hell, according to them.

The same applies to Christianity, Christian ministers know their congregations do not study the Greek of which they say their scriptures were revealed in. They depend on a Scottish man called King James who did not speak Hebrew. Again playing with the very souls of my people.

On Shaikh Daoud

. . . On Friday at Jumah, June 21, 1957 at age 12, I met and became his son. He changed my name from Issa Al Haadi Al Mahdi and York to Isa Abd'Allah Ibn Abu Bakr Muhammad. The Abd'Allah Ibn Abu Bakr he added in my name was his family name . . .

I was introduced to him by brother Umar Abdullah Muhammad aka “Oscar,” an American Muslim. Shaikh Daoud named all of his devoted Abdullah Muhammad.

It was Shaikh Daoud who gave me Imam, Hajj Isa . . .

I continued to assist Shaikh Daoud like a son from 1967 on through the 1970s until he died in 1980. I left to attend school in Egypt and Sudan but would return every four months to check on him. From 1969 through 1972 I went back and forth to school. During this time I went back and forth to Mecca four times and I spent the year, 1974, in Morocco . . . He would come to all of the Ansaar gatherings and speak with me . . .

Dr. York (the musician)

. . . The average Negro at a party will tell me, "So I heard that you're also Imaam Isa. A leader of a community in Bushwick" "Why are you, a leader of a Muslim community in a disco or a party."

I became Dr. York so that I can reach a mass majority of my people through my music. Through my Passion News Music Report, which had a circulation of approximately 200,000 servicing in U.S.A, Canada, Germany, Africa, the Middle East, the Far East, Japan, the Caribbean, Egypt, Israel, U.K. (London), Australia, Etc., I reached people and brought about a Nubian awareness.

Love, Hate & Hurt

I know I'm loved by many here, but I want you to know that I'm also hated by many. I'm hated because they don't understand what the truth is. They would rather live in illusions, they live in a world of theology. They don't want factology which is facts beyond any doubt. Facts insult certain people because it dethrones self appointed leaders, and if you offend someone's leader they immediately resort to violence or threats. They don't even trust their leaders intelligence to assume that he or she would be able to defend themselves verbally against you. They simply want to hurt you. I know many of you people that were on the Internet with me. On many shadow hours, (I) heard them say, "you should be dead. I wish we could kill you." The threat may not frighten me as much as it did hurt me.

It hurts me because I give my whole life and more to waking people up. All I want is for you not to be tricked!

Upbringing

I was raised in Massachusetts until the age of 7. At the age of 7 Shaikh Hasuwn escorted me to Aswan, Nubia in Wadi-Halfa to be with my mother’s family. My father had appointed Shaik Hasuwn to be my guardian. His job was to protect and properly raise me in Al Islaam. He would escort me to Omdurman and Abaa Island to visit and stay with my father and grandfather. My grandfather, As Sayyid Abdur Rahman Al Mahdi, the Imaam of the Ansaars in the Sudan until 1959 AD, upon looking into my eyes foretold that I was the one who would possess “the light.” It was here where I was raised by Shaikh Hasuwn and my uncle on my mother’s side, Abdullah.

I returned to the United States, State Street to be exact at the age of 12 in the year 1957 AD. I spent my adolescent years in Teaneck, New Jersey with my maternal aunts at 245 Coolidge Avenue and attended Teaneck Junior High School, a local school.

Errata

I am the first one to admit that I can make a mistake, and whenever I do, I am quick to establish and print what is better or more correct. Whenever I receive more detailed information about a subject I go back and revise or update what was said previously.

Back To School

In 1973 AD I became a student of the University of Khartoum in Sudan by way of an arrangement established by Dr. Awan Shariff, the Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Sudan. This was done under the coordination of the Prime Minister of the country for me to improve my Arabic language. After having lived in the United States for a while, I lost a lot of my language.
