The Prophet
"With his book, The Prophet, he was not claiming to be one. He was merely saying if a Prophet could speak with you on various subjects, this is the wisdom he would pass onto you. This book gives guidelines for everyday living for all the communities around the world. It is a gift which you are to read frequently and with as much fervency as you read The Raatib of the Guide (Al Mahdi of the Sudan), and The Book of Light of myself the Reformer (Al Mujaddid of this day and time Dr. Malachi Z. York-El). The Prophet has been translated into more than twenty languages. Within the different versions I've come across, none has been able to capture the essence of his writings, thus I've decided to translate it from the original Arabic." Paraphrased from a note from the translator, Dr. Malachi Z. York-El.
